"Lolong" The Biggest Crocodile isn’t eating after the capture

The world's largest saltwater crocodile that was captured six days ago in southern Philippines hadn’t eaten anything after the capture. The croc was nicknamed as "Lolong" by wildlife official Ronnie Sumiller who led the hunt and capture of crocodile. The Lolong has now started attracting the worldwide attention.

The world's largest 6.1m saltwater crocodile is not eating because of the stress and it is believed to be the usual stress after being trapped and handled in captivity. Now the reptile is under close observation by authorities for the signs of stress.

Lolong which weighs more than a ton is now safely kept in an 800 sq.m cage in Bunawan township of Agusan del Sur province where it was caught last weekend. The viewing of the crocodile is now restricted and public are not allowed by the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau of Philippines.

Though Lolong was captured, another search is under process on the look for a possibly larger crocodile that Sumiller and residents had spotted in the town's marshy outskirts.
