Beaches in Dubai

Dubai has a long and beautiful coastline dotted with clean and scenic white sandy beaches. The soft sand, warm and crystal clear blue water, and all year round sunshine make Dubai an exciting beach holiday destination in the UAE. Beaches and beach parks in Dubai offer a good environment for relaxing, sun bathing and walking; or indulging in a range of beach and water sports activities such as playing beach volley ball, swimming, surfing, sailing, kite surfing, paragliding and water skiing.
Public Beaches in Dubai

Famous public beaches in Dubai are the Jumeirah Beach, Al Mazmar Beach Park, Jebel Ali Beach, and the Kite Beach (also known as Wollongong Beach). Other popular Dubai beaches are the Russian Beach (also called Jumeirah Open Beach), Free Fun Beach, Hidden Beach, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) Beach, and the Umm Suqeim Beach. Most of the public beaches in Dubai are free or charge a nominal entry fee.
Jumeirah Beach

Running along the scenic Jumeirah Beach Road and located next to the Hilton Beach Club, the Jumeirah Beach is the cheapest but the most famous public beach in Dubai. Actually, it's about a one kilometer long stretch of beach on the Arabian Gulf flanked by hotels and beach clubs, interspaced by a few public access marine beaches. It's an ideal place for walking, sunbathing, swimming, beach volleyball, or enjoying the spectacular views of the Burj Al Arab Hotel.

The verdant and picturesque Jumeirah Beach Park is located along the Jumeirah Beach front. Spread over in an area of 12 hectares, the beach park has lanscapaed gardens and walkways, and offers facilities of barbecue area, picnic tables, food kiosks, children’s play area, changing rooms, and shower and swimming areas with lifeguards on duty. The park is flooded with locals and tourists, especially on weekends. The entrance fee to the Jumeirah Beach Park is just 5 AED. You can also hire sunbeds for 15 AED, umbrellas for 10 AED, and beach towels for 5 AED. The park is open 7 days a week from 7:00 AM to 10: 30 PM( 7:00 AM TO 11 PM on Thu-Sat) with Monday exclusively reserved for ladies and children only.
Al Mamzar Park

There is also a public beach at Al Mamzar Park on the Deira side of the Creek. The public facilities include playgrounds, barbecue sites, food kiosks, and picnic areas for families at Palm beach.
Palm Beach in Dubai

Dubai has a number of beautiful beaches like famous Palm Beach in Dubai and beach parks offering a wide range of recreational and entertainment facilities in resorts to its visitors. The year round sunshine and excellent soft sandy beaches along the coast are ideal for relaxing, lazing or sun bathing. For the more active, there are water sports to be enjoyed in the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf. Winters in Dubai are pleasant and so the beaches are full of holidaymakers. During summer holidays temperatures can reach up to 45-50 degrees centigrade with equally high humidity.
Private Beaches in Dubai

There are plenty of private beaches in Dubai attached to famous luxury hotels and beach resorts in Dubai. These private beaches are free for guests to use, and also accessible to non-guests against paying an entrance fee. These beaches are well-equipped for a wide range of beach and water sports activities like boating, deep sea fishing, jet skiing, windsurfing and paragliding.

The Bay of Dubai is in the heart of the city and it defines its characteristic appearance.

Al Mamzar Beach Park. Located on the border between the emirates of Dubai and Sharjah, the park occupies a huge territory.

It is almost always half empty, despite the magnificent beaches and an abundance of different facilities for sports and recreation.

You can find fabulous green gardens, a large amphitheater, BBQ area, a hall with slot machines, children's playgrounds with slides and swings. There are seven beaches on the territory of the green park.

On weekdays it is quite easy to find a secluded corner with a warm, clean sand, while on Fridays the whole park is full of laughter and loud voices of the locals residents and visitors from India who enjoy their well-deserved holidays.

The beaches are spacious, well equipped with showers and toilets, as well as sun umbrellas made of palm leaves.

Gantut Beach is a fairly long and clean sandy beach, located near the island of Palm Jebel Ali, 4 km from the Hotel Jebel Ali Hotel & Spa.

The water here is crystal clear, calm and quiet and the privacy is guaranteed. The obvious pluses are the showers and shade canopies made of palm branches.
Jumeirah is the most popular beach in Dubai with the sand light like a feather, very white, where you can safely swim, enjoying the warm water and gentle sun. Before you find yourself at Jumeirah Beach Park, you will have to overcome a few hundred meters of landscaped gardens. The park is popular for its convenient platform for a family barbecue, children's play areas, but if you really want to rest alone with nature, try not to get to this beach on a Friday afternoon.

Kite beach located in Umm Suqeim between the sailing club and the fishing village (just behind the Mirage Art Centre). There are no facilities on this beach where happy fathers fly kites with their children, and tanned young ladies enjoy the sun. It is famous for gusty winds and a huge open space, an ideal environment for those who do not accept the laws of gravity and likes to fly.
Abu Dhabi, the capital city stretches along the lifeless sand and parched rivers on the Persian Gulf. This is the largest and richest of the emirates. The city of Abu Dhabi is located on the island and separated from the mainland by a narrow strait which is a city park.

Bahrain is a wonderful island located 40 minutes from the coast of Abu Dhabi. You can get there by a charter boat. The journey becomes an adventure of viewing seven miles of wild white sandy beaches.

Jebel Danat is an uninhabited beach situated 400 kilometers from Dubai with calm clean sea water. Since the beach is only yours it makes sense to think about sun umbrellas. It has shallow water 50 meters from the shore which makes this coast ideal for a holidays with children.
