A study by Ministry of Petroleum in India has revealled that the government cannot take out the subsidy for petrol saying that it is the fuel of high class. Study reveals that 62 percent of petrol sold in India is used mostly by two wheeler vehicles which is the ususal transport used by common people. The research was done by Petroleum Analysis cell for the ministry of petroleum. The study was conducted by Petroleum Planning and Analysis cell to know the factors to control the local fuel market.Only 27 percent is used by cars while 6 percent is used by three wheelers like autorikshaw. So government cannot stop the subsidy saying it as a fuel of high class people.
